About FlareGrid

A new Kenyan company with one simple idea: plan the power in.

We're new, and we'd rather say so. We don't have a long list of past projects yet. What we have is a clear way of working, licensed technicians, and a promise to be honest with you from the first visit to the last call.

Why we started

FlareGrid began with requests from people we know. Friends and family building homes and rental units asked us to help with backup power while their walls were going up.

We saw the same problem each time. Backup power in Kenya usually arrives after a building is finished. Plaster gets cut open, cables run along walls in trunking, and batteries end up in whatever corner is left. The owner pays more for a worse result.

So we registered FlareGrid Solutions Limited to do it the other way round: plan the power while the building is still open, install it properly, and stay reachable afterwards.

The problems we're here to solve

Power that goes off

Outages stop work, spoil food and leave gates and pumps dead.

Backup added too late

Fitting it after finishing costs more and looks worse.

Quotes you can't compare

Vague prices, hidden extras, and no clear list of what's included.

Nobody answers later

The installer disappears when something stops working.

Our vision

Buildings across East Africa with reliable power designed in from the start, not added as an afterthought.

Our mission

We plan, install and look after backup power and solar water heating for homes, rental buildings and businesses in Kenya. We start at the design stage, work with your builder, use EPRA-licensed technicians, put every price and exclusion in writing, and give every customer a named contact.

Four values, and how you'll see them

Values only count if you can check them. Each one comes with something we'll do that you can hold us to.

01

Plan before we sell

For you: A system sized for what you need to keep running, not for what is in stock.

What we do: We visit, list your loads and check your plans before any quote. If a smaller system will do, we tell you.

02

Put it in writing

For you: No surprises on price, scope or what is excluded.

What we do: Fixed quotes list exclusions, the payment schedule and warranty terms. Any change is agreed in writing before we do it.

03

Licensed hands, checked work

For you: A safe installation you can show was done properly.

What we do: Only EPRA-licensed technicians install. Every job has a photo checklist, tests you can watch, and an EPRA completion certificate.

04

Answer the phone

For you: Support that continues after handover.

What we do: You get a named contact. For no-power faults we respond the next working day and tell you what happens next.

Our commitment, step by step

We mark clearly what you get from launch and what we're still building.

A remote first assessment from four WhatsApp photos, for customers outside Nairobi.

02

04

After-sales support

At launch

A written workmanship warranty, handover pack, named contact, and next-working-day response for no-power faults.

Planned

Care plans with scheduled checks, and remote monitoring where the inverter supports it.

Tell us what you're building.

A home, a rental block, a shop or a school. We'll listen first, then tell you honestly what you need and what you don't.
